The Gold Quill Awards – Go for Gold!
Have you or your team produced a great communications program this year? Are you keen to be recognised internationally, and at your workplace?
Have you or your team produced a great communications program this year? Are you keen to be recognised internationally, and at your workplace?
September is AMEC Measurement Month that aims to fill the gap between understanding the value of PR measurement and doing something about it. All activity should be measured for learning, recognising success and proving the value of communications work.
We often talk about resistance to change, but what happens if there is no resistance and your organisation is eager to change and adopt new technology and new ways of working?
Your host: Katherine Morrell & Sophie Drew
We promise you, you’re not alone. IABC Canberra members come from all sorts of industries, including non-government sectors
It can sometimes be a bit hard for non-government communication professionals in Canberra to meet each other. We often work in small teams, or may be the only communications professional in our organisation. That’s why IABC Canberra is holding a non-government Chat ‘Em. So whether you work in a private company, in not-for-profit, at an industry association or as a consultant, this meet-up is for you.
The structure is quite fluid but some topics we may cover include: What are the unique challenges faced by non-government communications professionals? What sort of events would you like to attend? What are your tips for thriving in a largely government town? How on earth do you get onto a government panel? Just to name a few.
Chat ’Em is an informal catch up for Canberra communication professionals. Each Chat ‘Em focuses on a different aspect of communications, for example digital campaigns, non-government communications or strategy.
Like the name suggests, it’s Chatham House Rules, so please feel free to bring any concerns or problems that you’ve encountered and we can workshop them with the group.
Join us for our mid-year networking event and catch-up with communications professionals from around Canberra.
This event is free for IABC members and only $15 for guests.
You’ll hear from IABC Canberra members fresh off the plane from the IABC World Conference in New Orleans. They’ve spent four days hearing from communications professionals around the globe and are busting to pass on what they’ve learnt with the Canberra community.
Plus get to know our brand new board and hear about what’s coming up for the second half of 2016.
