The Australian War Memorial wins AMI award for Our Continuing Story campaign

The Australian War Memorial has been recognised by the Australian Marketing Institute, winning the Marketing Excellence state award (ACT) for their Our Continuing Story campaign.

The Public Sector Marketing category award recognises marketing excellence in campaigns delivered by or for the public sector. 

Our Continuing Story was developed as a brand campaign to support the Memorial’s development project. The campaign aims to establish a narrative and strategically influence positive change in public perception about these large building works and to modernise and reposition the Memorial’s relevance and connection across all generations of Australians.

Developed in conjunction with a local agency Cre8ive, the Our Continuing Story brand has been highly successful in engaging the Australian public with above average social media and website engagement.  

Megan Scott, Marketing Manager at the Australian War Memorial, said: ‘It was a privilege to work with veteran and current serving men and women in our Defence Forces to develop engaging and beautiful photographic assets to support this brand campaign. It is also very exciting to be acknowledged by our marketing industry colleagues and peers.’
